Church of Christ, Scientist, Geneva - Sunday School

Nurturing Spirituality

Developing a relationship with God is possible at any age. For our youngest pupils, this involves learning more about the presence of good in their lives and drawing inspiration from Jesus for how to treat others. For young adults, it means being able to address difficult questions.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a weekly, one-hour session during which students learn about the Bible and about the power of prayer. Children and young people up to the age of 20 are welcome to attend.

Sunday – 11 a.m.

  • Who can attend Sunday School?

Our Sunday School is open to children from the age of 3 up to their 20th birthday. We have a crèche with a nursery for infants and very young children. Pupils and their families do not have to be Christian Scientists to attend. Sunday School is for the teachers and pupils only; parents (or guardians) are, however, welcome to attend the Sunday service in English, which takes place at the same time.

  • Who teaches at the Sunday School?

We are a lay church, so Sunday School is taught by members who are experienced Christian Scientists.

  • What is taught at the Sunday School?

The lessons are based on the Bible and include such subjects as the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and the Beatitudes. The classes for older children delve more deeply into the weekly Bible lessons and tackle subjects that are relevant to their daily lives.

  • Do you have to be a Christian Scientist to attend?

No! Everyone is welcome to attend Sunday School and the religious services.
